PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid container capable of reducing a cost while having a liquid residual amount detecting means in itself, and capable of dispensing with a pressurizing means. SOLUTION: This liquid storage container is provided with a liquid storage part 7 comprising a flexible member, a liquid supply port 9, and a liquid detector 11 for detecting a liquid residual amount, the liquid detector 11 has a liquid detecting chamber 21 provided with a liquid inflow port 11a communicated with the liquid storage part 7 and a liquid outflow port 11b communicated with the liquid supply port 9, a flexible part 23 formed on one face of the liquid detecting chamber 21, and deformable by a liquid amount in the liquid detecting chamber 21, a moving member 27 moving in response to a deformation of the flexible part 23, and a detecting means 25 for detecting a state with the moving member 27 moved to a prescribed position, and a check valve 14 is provided between the liquid supply port 9 and the liquid outflow port 11b from the liquid detecting chamber 21, to block a flow of a liquid from the liquid supply port 9 to the liquid detecting chamber 21.
