<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily take out an optical fiber in an optical fiber cable housing a protection wall material. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The optical fiber cable 1 composes a long optical element part 13 from: an optical fiber 3 composed of one or more primary coated optical fibers, secondary coated optical fibers or optical fiber ribbons; at least a pair of tension members 5 arranged in parallel on both sides in the width direction interposing the optical fiber 3; and a jacket 11 coated on the outer periphery of the optical fiber 3 and the pair of tension members 5. Flat plate-shaped protection wall members 9 which interpose the optical fiber 3 in substantially parallel to a plane 7 of X-axis passing through the center of the optical fiber 3 and the pair of tension members 5 are disposed in the jacket 11 and a splittable weakened part 25 the strength of which is reduced is provided on the protection wall members 9.
