PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constrain power consumption in a measuring device in a system for determining the existence of damages of a structural object through a monitoring server having wireless connection with the measuring device attached at each part of the construct. SOLUTION: The measuring device 20 includes a measuring section 110 to output measuring signal in response to acceleration generated in the construct, a calculation processing section 120 for calculating an indicator based on the output signal output from the measuring section 110, a radio transmitting section 130 for performing radio transmission of the indicator calculated from the calculation processing section 120 to a monitoring server, a battery 140 for applying electric power to the measuring section 110, calculation processing section 120 and the radio transmitting section 130, and an electric power supply controlling section 141 where usually electric power supply from the battery 140 to the radio transmitting section 130 is stopped, but electric power supply to radio transmitting part 130 is permitted when the calculation processing section 120 determines that amplitude width of acceleration measured by the measuring section 110 exceeds a predetermined threshold.
