<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a droplet discharge method and a droplet discharge apparatus, which perform a process of measuring a discharge weight for measuring the discharge weight exactly, at the same time, suppress an increase in a time during which an image drawing discharge process for discharging a liquid toward an image drawing target pauses by carrying out the process of measuring the discharge weight, and suppress an increase in the time required for the image drawing by the droplet discharge. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The droplet discharge method comprises the image drawing discharge process of placing a liquid on a substrate by discharging the liquid from a droplet discharge head and also relatively displacing the droplet discharge head and the substrate which is a target in which the liquid lands, a material supply-removal process of supplying and removing material of the substrate to a droplet discharge device provided with a droplet discharge head, and a weight-measuring discharge process of practicing weight measurement discharge to measure the weight of the liquid discharged from the droplet discharge head, wherein the weight measuring discharge process is performed while the material supply-removal process is practiced.
