The screw press comprises a screw (1), and a tube (5), which is concentrically arranged to the screw and has an opening (6) in its lateral surface, through which a material reaches into a tube interior to seize from a main part (2) of the screw and is to be transported to a front face end of the tube by continuously rotating the screw. A head part (3) of the screw pointing to the face end lies in a region of the tube, which has a closed cross-section. The screw has a central shaft, which divides into a main shaft section for the main part of the screw and a hollow head shaft section. The screw press comprises a screw (1), and a tube (5), which is concentrically arranged to the screw and has an opening (6) in its lateral surface, through which a material reaches into a tube interior to seize from a main part (2) of the screw and is to be transported to a front face end of the tube by continuously rotating the screw. A head part (3) of the screw pointing to the face end lies in a region of the tube, which has a closed cross-section. The screw has a central shaft, which divides into a main shaft section for the main part of the screw and a hollow head shaft section for the head part of the screw. The head part is detachably connected with the main part of the screw. The hollow head shaft section is connected to the main shaft section by using a long screw longitudinally extending through the head shaft section. The front side of the one of the shaft sections has a pin extending in axial direction, where the opposite end of the other shaft section is exactly fitted onto the pin. An anti-twist element is provided between the sections of the shaft. A rear end of a screw thread of the head shaft section overlaps with a front end of a screw thread of the main shaft section and is detachably connected with the front end of the screw thread in an overlapping region. The detachable connection is a screw connection. The screw thread of the head shaft section is tightly implemented than the screw thread of the main shaft section.
