LIGHT-EMITTING APPARATUS AND LEAD FRAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting apparatus capable of being compact and increasing the light extraction efficiency; and to provide a lead frame used for production of the light-emitting apparatus.

SOLUTION: The light-emitting apparatus comprises a pair of electrodes comprising a metal, a light source connected to the pair of electrodes, and at least a pair of sidewall portions 22a and 22b each comprising the metal and standing around the light irradiation direction of the light source. The pair of sidewall portions is each connected to the pair of electrodes and has edges opposed with a space between them. The space is filled with an insulating material. The thickness of the edge of the sidewall portion is smallest in the intermediate portion in the thickness direction of the sidewall portion and increases towards both thickness-direction ends from the intermediate portion.
