PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a travel road determination apparatus and method that immediately updates the position of one's own vehicle on a correct travel road after passing through a specified branch point at which a road branches with a minute angle difference. SOLUTION: The travel road determination apparatus includes a white line detection section 210 for detecting a white line on a travel road, or a road under traveling, from an image taken by an onboard camera, a continuity determination section 220 for determining whether the white line detected by the white line detection section 210 is continuous, and a travel road determination section 230 for determining a travel road after passing through the specified branch point on the basis of the determination results by the continuity determination section 220 on the specified branch point.
