PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compact photographing lenses for optimally correcting variation of color aberration from a point at infinity to a short range object and obtaining superior optical performance over an entire screen, and to provide optical equipment having the photographing lens and an imaging method. SOLUTION: The photographing lenses include a first lens group G1 having positive refractive power, an aperture diaphragm S, and a second lens group G2 having positive refractive power arranged in order from an object side. The first lens group G1 includes a negative lens component L1 and a positive lens component L2 arranged in order from an object side. The second lens group G2 includes a cemented lens L34 of a negative lens component L3 and a positive lens component L4, and a second positive lens component L5 arranged in order from an object side. When a refractive index to a d line of the second positive lens component L5 in the second lens group G2 is nd5, and an Abbe's number to a d line of the second positive lens component L5 in the second lens group G2 isνd5, a condition of the following inequalities: nd5<1.67 andνd5>50.0 is satisfied.
