<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cap for a writing utensil equipped with a decorative ring and a clip, which is free from such a trouble that the positional deviation between the decorative part fitted to the ring and the nipping piece of the clip occurs. <P>SOLUTION: This cap for a writing utensil is of such a structure that a slit 5e with the upper open end is formed along the axis, in the insertion part 5b of the decorative ring 5.
