<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking aid device which achieves precise walking aid by detecting the relative positions of both legs. <P>SOLUTION: The walking aid device 100 includes a first walking aid member mounted to one leg, a second walking aid member mounted to the other leg, and a controller 6 for controlling the first and second walking aid members. The first walking aid member is provided with a light-receiving element 4 for detecting light from a light-emitting element 5 of the second walking aid member.
