<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce demerits due to a time lag till a printing operation in a secure printing environment. <P>SOLUTION: In the case of registering a secure printing job, it is judged whether the number of sheets to be printed in the secure printing job is more than the allowable number of sheets as a value obtained by subtracting the number of sheets not printed yet in the secure printing job from the upper limit number of sheets. When judging that the number of sheets in the secure printing job is equal to or less than the allowable number of sheets, the printing operation in the secure printing job is allowed, and the secure printing job is stored in a RAM 67.
