<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector having improved mounting workability on a circuit board while improving the safety of contact between the conductor part of the circuit board and a terminal. <P>SOLUTION: The electric connector includes the terminal 11 and an expansion bar 20. The terminal 11 is formed in a two-pronged fork shape with a pair of contact beams 12, 12 between which the circuit board is inserted. It is integrally formed so that the contact beams 12, 12 can be elastically expanded. The expansion bar 20 is arranged between the contact beams 12 for expanding and supporting the contact beams 12, 12 to increase a space between contact portions 12a, 12a.
