<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic balance capable of automatically selecting appropriate display conditions to display measurement results. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The electronic balance 1 is provided with both a storage part 40 and an average weight computation part 32. The storage part previously stores contents of n-types of smoothing processing in which an n-th variation threshold W<SB>n</SB>'; an n-th set time T<SB>n</SB>'; and an n-th setting sampling number S<SB>n</SB>' for averaging measured weight W<SB>0</SB>(t) are each set. The average weight computation part computes an n-th average weight W<SB>n</SB>(t). A display control part 34 displays an (n+1)th average weight W<SB>n+1</SB>(t) on a display part 60 when an (n+1)th variation ΔW<SB>n+1</SB>(t) continuously stays below a (n+1)th variation threshold W<SB>n+1</SB>' for the duration of a (n+1)th set time T<SB>n+1</SB>' and displays an (n-1)th average weight W<SB>n-1</SB>(t) on the display part 60 when the (n+1)th variation ΔW<SB>n+1</SB>(t) has reached the (n+1)th variation threshold W<SB>n+1</SB>' or greater.
