PURPOSE: A sealant dispenser and a control method thereof are provided to make the flow of a sealant and a discharge path straightly by improving the structure of a sealant dispenser head. CONSTITUTION: A laser displacement sensor(140) is installed on the same line by comprising a syringe at a lower part of a coating head part, and includes a light emitting part(142) and a light receiving part(144). The light emitting part outputs the laser to a substrate. The light receiving part receives the light reflected from the substrate. The laser displacement sensor measures the height between the substrate and a nozzle. An elevating part elevates the syringe as much as a predetermined amount according to the measured height.
