Slave communication device for a field bus system

The device has a slave unit (22-1) connected with a master unit (20) via a bus line (12) including two wires (A, A plus). The device is detachably connected with the slave unit. The slave unit is addressable by the device in an operating mode. The device is couplable with the slave unit during a communication process. The device is couplable with the bus line for power supply. Connection between the bus line and the device is produced via a plug-in connection part (74) i.e. jack plug, of the slave unit. The device communicates with the slave unit, via the connection part.
