PURPOSE: A liquid crystal alignment agent is provided to obtain a liquid crystal alignment film with high vertical alignment-regulating force, prevent display ununiformity when one drop fill mode is used in the manufacture of the vertical alignment type liquid crystal display device. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal alignment agent includes one or more polymers selected from the group consisting of polyamic acid and its imidized polymer. The polyamic acid is obtained by reacting tetracarboxylic dianhydride and diamine represented by chemical formula 1. In chemical formula 1, R is C3-20 alkyl group which can be substituted with a fluorine element; A is 1,4-cyclohexylene group or 1,4-phenylene group; B^1 is oxygen atom or -OCO-*, wherein a bonding hand attached with * is bonded with (CH2)b; B2 is oxygen atom or -OCO-*, wherein a bonding hand attached with * is bonded with A; a is 0 or 1; b is an integer of 2-10; and c is 0 or 1. |
