PURPOSE: A hollow magnesium fluoride particle, a preparing process thereof, and an anti-reflective coating solution comprising the same are exhibit high durability and low refractiveness. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing hollow magnesium fluoride particles comprises the following steps of: dissolving magnesium precursors in a solvent to obtain a magnesium precursor solution; dissolving fluorine precursors in a solvent to obtain a fluorine precursor solution; adding an amine-based or ammonium-based additive into the fluorine precursor solution; and allowing the magnesium precursor solution to react to the fluorine precursor solution containing the amine-based or ammonium-based additive. The magnesium precursor is selected from the group consisting of magnesium acetate, magnesium chloride, magnesium bromide, magnesium citrate, magnesium oxalate, magnesium nitrate, magnesium sulfate, and their hydrates.
