Torque support to fix an encoder housing to an electric machine

The support (18) has U-shaped strips made of spring-elastic material including an end (24) fixed to housing of an encoder and an end (26) fixed to an air inlet grill. The strips are elastically prestressed in mounted condition such that the end (26) is pressed against the air inlet grill by elastic force, which is parallely axial to a rotational axis of the encoder. A projection (32) is formed at the end (26) and is pressed into detent holes of the grill by the axial elastic force. The projection is taperedly clamped in the detent holes in a rotational direction in clearance-free manner.
