PEPPER CALOX1 GENE FROM CAPSICUM ANNUUM AND SCREENING METHOD OF PLANT DISEASE RESISTANCE USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A lipoxigenase(CaLOX1) gene, lipoxigenase protein, and recombinant vector containing the gene are provided to promote the detection of plant disease resistance. CONSTITUTION: A lipoxigenase gene is derived from Capsicum annuum L. cv. Nockwang and has the sequence of the sequence number 1. A recombinant vector is produced by inserting CaLOX1 gene to TRV2(Tobacco Rattle Virus 2) which is used for virus-induced gene silencing(VIGS). A method for detecting resistance of plant comprises: a step of isolating RNA from a plant which is inoculated with pathogen or nonpathogen and a step of confirming the expression of CaLOX1 gene by northern blotting analysis.
