PURPOSE: A color temperature compensating device of a liquid crystal display device and method using the same are provided to improve with balance by using a blue gamma value different from a red and green gamma value compensating a color temperature in a high gradation. CONSTITUTION: A color temperature compensating device of a liquid crystal display device and method, a liquid crystal panel(12) includes a plurality of red color filters, green color filters, and blue color filters. A color filter thickness measuring unit measures a first thickness of the red color filters, a second thickness of the green color filters, and a third thickness of the blue color filters. A controller(10) compares the third thickness with the first and the second thickness. A controller selects one of a first blue gamma value and a second blue gamma value, and it selects red gamma value and green gamma value.
