摘要 PURPOSE: A shock absorbing safety bollard is provided to minimize the damage and the deformation of the bollard cause by impact and to minimize the damage of an assailant. CONSTITUTION: A shock absorbing safety bollard is composed of a support plate(2), an outer body(4), a ring band(6), a head(8), an inner body(10), and a core member(12). The support plate is laid in the bottom of the ground. The support plate has a stepped surface in the center. A backing projection is formed to be extended on the circumference of the lower part of the outer body. The backing projection is combined over the stepped surface of the support plate and is erectly installed. The outer body absorbs the shock transmitted from the outside secondarily. The ring band is installed on the outer circumference of the outside body. The ring band has self-elasticity to absorb and damper the initial shock load and transmits the shock load to the outer body. The head is installed at the upper part of the outer body. The head has self-elasticity to absorb and damper the initial shock load and transmits the remaining shock load to the outer body. The inner body has the hardness higher than the hardness of the outer body. The inner body uniformly disperses and dampers the remaining shock load transmitted from the outer body. The core member is installed in the center of the inner body to keep the skeleton of the bollard.
