PURPOSE: A home electronic device diagnostic system and an operation method thereof for improving frequency use efficiency by reducing the number of frequency used for converting signal are provided to prevent signal error or noise in a signal conversion process without performing signal conversion. CONSTITUTION: A home electronic device includes a selection unit, a control unit(10), a storage unit, a conversion unit(60) and a sound output unit(70). The selection unit receives the input of a command for the implementation of the failure diagnosis. The storage unit stores the product information of the home electronic device for the fault diagnosis. If the fault diagnosis is selected through the selection unit, the controller loads stored product information. The controller outputs the control signal. The conversion unit generates the acoustic signal corresponding to the control signal.
