PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat sensitive recording material excellent in the printing workability in a flexographic printing process, in which a water-based ink is especially employed on the rear surface of the material. SOLUTION: In the heat sensitive recording material, in which a heat sensitive color developing layer is provided on the front surface of a support, on the other side of which a back layer is provided, the transition amount of water in the liquid absorbency test method (according to J. TAPPI No.51) of the back surface is 10 ml/m<2> or more under the contact time of 1,000 ms. |
