The infant scale has a scale pan (1) for holding an infant and a measuring device, which bears the scale pan, where the measuring device is provided to determine the weight of the infant. A display (2) is provided for displaying the determined weight. The measuring device has multiple weighing cells. The two pan halves (3,4) have medium (5) for mechanical and electrical connecting in a weighing position. The two pan halves are folded in a storage position. The pan halves are made up of plastic, particularly hard plastic.
