PURPOSE: An engine start and stop switch for a vehicle is provided to an operator to grasp the engine state of the vehicle by the naked eye by forming an LED, whose colored light is changed, inside. CONSTITUTION: An engine start and stop switch for a vehicle comprises a body(300), a button(200), a ring-shaped holder(400), a rubber point(500), and a PCB substrate(600) and a rear cover(700). The body is made of an inner shell(310) and an outer shell(320) with both opened ends. A cover insertion space is formed inside the rear part of the outer shell. A display(230) connected to the inner space of an insertion part(220) is formed at the front side of the button. The ring-shaped holder is coupled with the rear part of the insertion part of the button. A terminal push part(410) inserted into a holder guide groove(340) and guided is formed at both sides of the outer circumference of the holder. A lamp through-hole(510) is formed at the center of the rubber point. The PCB substrate comprises an LED holder(620) to place an LED(610) for lighting the display on the inner space of the insertion part. The rear cover is inserted into the cover insertion space of the body.
