<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem on degradation of defrosting capacity caused by abrasion of bristles of a defrosting brush with the lapse of a prescribed operation time when the frost and ice attached to the heat exchanging fin of the heat exchanger are removed by the defrosting brush, and a problem that proper operation management of the refrigerating device such as an air conditioner is disturbed when the degree of abrasion of brush bristles and replacement time of the defrosting brush are determined only on the basis of user's self-management. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This heat exchanger unit for the refrigerating device comprising the heat exchanger and a fin defrosting means for mechanically removing frost attached to the heat exchanging fin of the heat exchanger by the defrosting brush, further includes a brush abrasion degree determining means for determining a degree of abrasion of the defrosting brush, and a brush replacement means for replacing the defrosting brush when it is determined that the degree of abrasion of the defrosting brush reaches a specific value.
