<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small, lightweight, and inexpensive side thruster device provided to a missile, that has superior responsiveness can be used outside the atmosphere. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A side thruster comprises thruster nozzles 5, a flow rate control valve thruster nozzle 6, a gas generator, and a propellant. Four thruster nozzles 5 are arranged at 90° intervals in a trunk circumferential direction, with center axes passing through a body center axis and disposed away from a vertical shaft by a distance b/2 on side faces. By the structure such that a line of action of generated thrust not passing the body center axis, rolling moment around the body axis is generated, and roll control of the body is made possible.
