<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing capable of reducing wear under a lubrication condition mixed with hard foreign matters as one type of wear of the bearing. Ž<P>SOLUTION: At least the axial intermediate part of a shaft 8M is hardened by heat treatment, and a hard coating 12 is applied to the rolling surface of at least any one of the shaft 8M, an outer ring 9 and a rolling element 10. One or both of such requirements that the circularity of the rolling surface of a base material on which the hard coating 12 is to be formed is 2 μm or less and the circularity of the rolling surface after formation of the hard coating is 4 μm or less are satisfied.
