<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost hermetic compressor having low fastening deformation and high efficiency since a bolt is fastened at very high torque to ensure that a cylinder, a main end plate, and an auxiliary end plate never slip after assembly, deformation is generated at a part near a bolt hole of a cylinder and large deformation is generated especially at a part near an opening part of the bolt hole where both of the end plates touches, and the deformation causes drop of performance, generation of abnormal noise, and the like in former hermetic compressors. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Fastening deformation can be relaxed by forming the part near the opening part of the bolt hole provided at the cylinder in a tapered shape.
