<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal forming cylinder device and a metal forming plunger chip which are capable of suppressing entrainment of gas in a cylinder chamber. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The cylinder device 1 is composed of a cylinder 2 with an inner circumferential wall face 22 forming a cylinder chamber 20 that is circular in the cross section and that has a center axis line P extending laterally, and of a plunger chip 3 installed in the cylinder chamber 20 in a manner movable forward and backward and provided with a pressurizing face 30. The pressurizing face 30 includes an upper side pressurizing face 301 situated on the upper side from a reference line PT and an lower side pressurizing face 302 situated on the lower side from the reference line PT. The lower side pressurizing face 302 is inclined so as to advance in the pressurizing direction compared with the upper side pressurizing face 301 while the upper side pressurizing face 301 is closer to a line K orthogonal to the axial line compared with the lower side pressurizing face 302.
