<p>The method involves transferring a preform (16) provided at a transfer path (30), to a holding element (32) i.e. neck plate, associated with an opened mold carrier. The preform is positioned into a blow mold of the carrier, and the carrier is enclosed with the positioned preform. The preform is supplied to a blow molding machine (3) via the transfer path. A part of a blow mold is formed by the holding element in a closed condition of the mold carrier, where the holding element holds the preform at a predetermined position within the blow mold, and the preform comprises a carrier ring. An independent claim is also included for a mold carrier for a preform, comprising a holding element.</p> |
