<p>The method involves applying respective gear ratios between a braking position of vehicle's steering wheels and a position of a steering control unit in nominal and braking modes. The variation of the braking position of the wheels caused by the variation of the position of the control unit in the braking mode is less than the variation of the braking position caused by the variation of the position of the control unit in the nominal mode for a predefined speed interval irrespective of a braking direction and parameters. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a data medium comprising software units for implementing a steering system operating method (2) a steering system of a motor vehicle, comprising a steering control unit.</p> |
