PURPOSE: An image forming apparatus and a sensing device thereof are provided to maintain the performance of the image forming apparatus by removing the contaminants attached to a sensor by the transferring force of a print medium without a separate driving unit. CONSTITUTION: An image forming apparatus comprise a sensor and a cleaning unit. The cleaning unit(40) cleans the sensor by being operated by a moving print medium. The cleaning unit comprises an operation member and a cleaning member. The operation member(60) rotates as coming in contact with the moving print medium. The cleaning member(70) cleans the sensor according to the operation member rotates by being installed in the operation member.
