<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rectangular area setting device capable of improving usability, a mark determination device having it, a rectangular area setting method, a program, and a storage medium. <P>SOLUTION: A PC 100 is provided with a scanner 101 optically reading an area image showing an area of a mark sheet carrying a plurality of printed mark entry frames 310a, a black pixel information acquisition part 106 acquiring information about a black pixel from a binarized image, a lateral width acquisition part 107 storing a mark lateral width and a lateral mark interval, a longitudinal width acquisition part 108 storing a mark longitudinal width and a longitudinal mark interval, a mark area decision part 109 setting a rectangular area including the mark entry frames 310a, and a mark recognition part 110 determining whether the mark is put in the mark entry frame 310a or not. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
