PURPOSE: A display substrate and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to form a thin film transistor on a plastic substrate. CONSTITUTION: A semiconductor layer(40) is equipped on a gate insulating layer. A color filter layer(50) is included on a substrate so that the semiconductor layer can be exposed. A source electrode(61) is equipped on the color filter layer and semiconductor layer. A drain electrode(63) is equipped on the color filter layer and semiconductor layer by being separated from the source electrode. A protective layer(80) is equipped on the semiconductor layer, source electrode and drain electrode. A pixel electrode(90) is equipped on the protective layer and is electrically connected to the drain electrode.
