PURPOSE: A terminal and a method for controlling the same are provided to easily input a command in a selected menu or function. CONSTITUTION: A display unit(151) displays at least one object. When one of the objects is selected, a control unit(180) performs a control operation to express the selected object by a 3D shape. A user input unit(130) generates input data for operation control of the terminal. The object is selected when one object is adjacently touched by a pointer. When the selected object is touched, the selected object is executed.
