PURPOSE: A contents distribution method with a use right transfer function of contents is provided to increase satisfaction of a purchaser to sell contents whose expiration date remains. CONSTITUTION: A purchaser A purchases contents from a seller. Transfer of contents whose expiration date remains is requested by the purchaser A accessing an intermediation server. Corresponding contents and a use right saved in a smart card are transmitted from the purchaser A. Checking the contents and the use right is requested to a use right issuer. A list of the checked contents is noticed.
