摘要 PURPOSE: A volume optimizing system of a diesel particulate filter is provided to simulate the DPF(diesel particulate filter) volume optimized on each engine and a vehicle by objectifying factors related to the DPF volume optimization. CONSTITUTION: A volume optimizing system of a diesel particulate filter comprises an oil dilution tolerance estimating unit(110), an optimum mileage estimating unit(120), a back pressure estimating unit(130), a maximum power decrement and maximum back pressure estimating unit(140), a minimum DPF volume estimating unit(150), and a multiplexer(160) and a DPF volume decision unit(170). The oil dilution tolerance estimating unit prevents the dilute volume of engine oil from exceeding constant boundary. The optimum mileage estimating unit estimates the optimum volume of a smoke filter device to minimize mileage. The back pressure estimating unit minimizes effects on the maximum power. The maximum power decrement and maximum back pressure estimating unit assumes allowable maximum power decrement and allowable maximum back pressure. The minimum DPF volume estimating unit the minimum volume o the smoke filter device volume required based on engine displacement. The DPF volume decision unit determines the DPF volume outputted from the multiplexer.
