PURPOSE: A device and method for testing airtightness maintenance of a fuel cell stack is provided to secure stability of a stack by inspecting airtightness of a fuel cell stack while assembling the fuel cell stack and to reduce airtight test process of a stack and time required for the test process. CONSTITUTION: A method for testing airtightness maintenance of a fuel cell stack comprises the steps of: assembling while pressurizing a fuel cell stack(10); supplying gas of constant pressure to any one selected from each gas passage(22,24) and cooling water inlet(26) of a stack while assembling the fuel cell stack; calculating pressure change for selected gas or cooling water path; determining airtightness maintenance if the pressure change amount to the selected gas or cooling water inlet is within a standard value; and determining leakage if the pressure change amount to the selected gas or cooling water inlet is over the standard value. |
