PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display is provided to improve the S/N ratio of light-receiving data obtained by a photo sensor element. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display includes a liquid crystal panel. The liquid crystal panel displays an image according as first and second electrodes apply the electric field to a liquid crystal layer(203) in a pixel region. The liquid crystal panel comprises a photo sensor element which receives the light incident through the liquid crystal layer in the pixel region to generate light-receiving data. At least one of the first and second electrodes is formed in a region except for a region corresponding to the light-receiving surface of the photo sensor element.
