The method is used for flotation selection of polymetallic ores, such as copper-pyrite, copper-molybdenum, copper-zinc, and lead-zinc ores. It provides a highest degree of selection of the valuable components in the ore, precious metals included, by electrochemical activation or depression of the minerals. The flotation pulp is subjected to electrochemical effects performed through pairs of electrodes located in a flotation machine and/or agitation vessel, each pair of electrodes comprising a working electrode and an auxiliary electrode. According to the invention, the electrochemical effect is performed with a 7.5 to 12 pH of the flotation pulp, whereat the working electrode is anode when a mineral is activated and cathode when the mineral is depressed. The working electrodes are insoluble, and the electrode pairs are arranged at a distance of 6-8 cm from the bottom of the flotation machine and/or agitation vessel and are fastened to the sidewalls thereof. The working electrodes are made of unalloyed or alloyed steel, graphite, titanium, or a combination thereof.
