The transmission (1) has a locking device i.e. jaw clutch (20), provided between an electric machine (2) i.e. electric motor, and a differential (8) for permitting alternative driving, by the machine, of the differential or a winch (26) for winding a cable. The electric machine is connected to the differential for driving drive-wheels (6) of a vehicle. The machine is placed transversally with respect to the vehicle along a same axis as that of the differential. The differential is partially integrated in the machine. The winch has a drum traversed by an output shaft (28) of the differential.
