OIL-SPILL BOOM

The claimed invention relates to arrangements used for environmental protection and provided for localization and spill recovery of oil and other oil products (gasoline, diesel fuel, mazut). The proposed invention is aimed at simplification of boom design with simultaneous increased efficiency of localization and clearance oil-spills on water surface. The invention is characterized in that an oil-spill boom comprises a float placed in its surface part, a replaceable sorbent element, screen with ballast in the form of pocket with chain arranged in underwater part. According to the invention the sorbent element serves as a float, made from semi-rigid polyurethane foamed plastic placed in mesh bags tandem connected, the sorbent element mounted in the boom above-water part along entire length of float on its internal surface by fastenings. The boom end parts are provided with locks for tandem connection. The oil-spill boom has a retaining rope along entire length of the float passed through the fastenings.
