The method involves inhibiting transmitting function that transmits information to a communicating element, if a communication protocol i.e. application resolution protocol, of another communicating element with the function. Fragmentation of applicative data i.e. simulation data, is inhibited if the protocol implements the data fragmentation. An address resolution memory e.g. ROM, of the former element is initialized and configured for storing logical address i.e. Internet protocol address, and physical address i.e. medium access control address, of the latter element. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computer program comprising instructions for performing a method for transmitting applicative data between communicating elements via a switched communication network (2) a device for transmitting applicative data between communicating elements via a switched communication network.
