The present invention relates to the use of a compound which is indolinone derivatives of formula (I) or a salt thereof applicable in agriculturewherein radicals have meanings defined in the invention claims for plant growth regulation, to a composition comprising one or several compounds of formula (I) or an agriculturally acceptable salt thereof, carriers and/or surfactants useful for plant growth regulating formulations, to the use of said composition for plant growth regulation, in which the plant is a monocotyledoneous or dicotyledoneous crop plant and also to a method of plant growth regulation comprising applying an effective amount of the compound of formula (I) to plants, to seeds from which they grow or to the locus in which they grow, a non- phytotoxic, effective plant growth regulating amount of one or more compounds of formula (I). |
