DRIVE ASSEMBLY FOR THE STUBBING DEVICE OF A BEET HARVESTER

The invention relates to a drive assembly for the stubbing device of a beet harvester having at least one pair of digging wheels forming therebetween an excavated gap needed for excavation of beet roots, at least one of said digging wheels is rotatable and driven by an angular drive gear provided with several conic bevel gears and driven by a drive shaft. According to the invention the angular drive gear is made as a part of a digging unit whose wheels are simultaneously driven during lifting of the harvested material in the region of a excavated gap.
