<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a noble metal-supported catalyst which is converted into a simple metal after being reduced, activated, and prevented from being oxidized in the presence of air in the reduction of a catalyst supporting a noble metal such as ruthenium. <P>SOLUTION: In the reduction of the catalyst with ruthenium supported on an activated carbon carrier, after the catalyst is reduced with hydrogen gas in a reaction vessel, ammonia gas is circulated through the reaction vessel to suppress the oxidation activity of the reduced noble metal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
