摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further appropriately start an internal combustion engine by the use of two electric motors during the stoppage of the internal combustion engine in a power output device or a vehicle provided with the internal combustion engine, the two electric motors, and a continuously variable transmission. <P>SOLUTION: The hybrid vehicle 20 comprises an engine starting mechanism 60 including an engine starting planetary gear mechanism PG 2 having a carrier 68 connected to a motor MG 1 through a decelerating planetary gear mechanism PG1, a ring gear 66 directly connected to a motor MG2, and a sun gear 65; and a one-way clutch CO capable of connecting a sun gear shaft 65a connected to the sun gear 65 of the planetary gear mechanism PG2 to a crankshaft 23 of an engine 22. The rotation of the sun gear 65 is stopped when the motors MG1 and MG2 have the same rotating speed. The one-way clutch CO connects the sun gear shaft 65a to the crankshaft 23 when the sun gear 65 is rotated in the same direction as the crankshaft 23. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
