<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ETC apparatus in which a driver can easily recognize a vehicle speed in the vicinity of an ETC gate. <P>SOLUTION: The ETC apparatus is configured to display a distance between two cars on the display means 24 at locations other than the vicinity of the ETC gate, and to display a predefined display type depending on a vehicle speed of each stage on the display means 24 when the vehicle approaches the ETC gate.
