<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection method that allows efficient observation or inspection of a liquid sample and improvement of the maintenance of an apparatus, and to provide a reagent solution which is used in the method. <P>SOLUTION: A culture medium 39 and biological cells 38 are placed as a liquid sample 20 in a sample holder 40, including a part made of a film 32. A plugging agent 41 is mixed into the liquid sample. The cells 38 can be irradiated with a primary beam via the film 32 from below the film 32. An image of the cells or information about the cells can be obtained, by detecting a secondary signal generated at the irradiation. Since even if the film 32 is destroyed by the primary beam irradiation or some form of mechanical stimulation, the plugging agent 41 plugs up the damaged portion of the film, consequently, liquid leakage can be minimized. Conventionally, although whenever the film is destroyed, the apparatus had to be cleaned, with the present invention, even if the film is destroyed, cleaning can be dispensed, even if it is destroyed, at least ten times. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
